Term 2 Updates and key dates
Kia Ora Parents, Caregivers and Families.
We welcome back all of our students (ākonga) to school for Term 2.
We trust that our students had a restful break and are looking forward to engaging back into school life.
It was great to see so many students come through the school gates today. A reminder that school starts at 8:45am every day. We encourage all our students to be on-site by 8:35am ready to head to period 1.
Change to school day
From next week, Monday the 6th of May the finish time will change.
School will finish on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 2:50pm with school finishing at 2:35pm on Wednesdays, as usual, to allow students to participate in interschool sport.
Key Dates
In week 3, Thursday 16 May, there is a PPTA union meeting that teachers in Canterbury must attend. That means that on this day school will not start until period 4, 12:20pm.
In week 4 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday a large number of our senior students will be involved in NCEA Literacy and Numeracy exams. This means that on these days, 20, 21 and 22 May, years 9-13 not involved in these will begin school at 10:45am, ako time, (Years 7 & 8 are unaffected).
In week 5, Friday 31 May, in line with many other schools there is a Teacher Only Day, school will be closed for instruction.
We apologise for all the disruption these cause.
Uniform Shop
This is closed this week for renovations but we can accomodate any emergency needs. Please support us in ensuring students are in the correct uniform. Regulations can be found here.
