Ko wai mātou?
Who are we?

Who we are and why we are

Kimihia is more than just a school. Students are a community of young women to complete their secondary education and plan future pathways. The young wāhine who attend are taught and supported by caring and professional teachers and staff who have students’ learning and well-being at heart. Education happens in and outside of the classroom, with culture and relationship-building activities planned regularly. Some extra-curricular examples include yoga, bubble-time with the babies, excursions to the beach and local parks, movies, local attractions, and more.

“Joining Kimihia has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Kimihia has so much to offer young parents, not only NCEA, but also so many opportunities to discover possible future pathways and create special relationships with many people.”

“Kimihia gives me hope, so I can accomplish my dreams, and it’s become a second family.”
